Did send her a dozen roses and a card. She is 76 and at 51 I appreciate her more than ever. To your list above I would have to add : 11. This has been the case for ever and so for me it was always about respecting her, not about the kids thinking about me. I have always been bothered by this. This year it was hugs and jokes and see ya as they were off yet again to honor their grandmother - but a day alone, quiet to do laundry or whatever isn't a bad thing - it's a mom thing! It's what we do. They did pitch in and get me a lovely hanging glass urn for a candle and a very beautiful card.
