Sadly this article is absolutely correct! The cost of building environmentally friendly is more expensive. It is amazing really, when we consider that solar heating and cooling has been with us since Ancient Greek times. In our memory we can look to the 1960′s and early 1970′s as a time when alternative so called “hippy” dwellings were built across the landscape. Were they so “far out” then?

I think in the future there will be a device that detects if someone is in the room. Lights that are left on are always sucking energy and no one is in the room. This is what home builders will be looking to for environmental reasons and green homes.
