It depends on the product. I'm a Dunkin Donuts fan and they've only served Fair Trade coffee since 2003. Would you buy fair trade before you buy something green? Again - depends on the item. What images do you conger up when you think of farmers in third world countries? Did these come from newspapers, you tube, and/or TV? I think of peasants. Crinkly, old folks - dirty with hard work. I think these images came from Sally Struthers...and Kiva.org Everywhere you read, you see the fever pitch of buy green, but do you also see buy green and fair trade too? I think we're pressed with "eco" and if you're into eco, you're at least aware of Fair Trade.I buy green and I buy fair trade.
