I too am a fan of sustainable communities. There are many sprouting across pockets of America. With some aide and support by government we can create some green corridors that add to the community focused living. Removal of concrete and limiting vehicles to set areas can improve the whole layout of the living arrangements of many people. Who knows we may end up with the corner store being the hub of community again. Oh wishful thinking.

Sustainable communities! Why would we not aim for this! Community development was an important aspect to social work and in a day where communities did support each other. Businesses must review their marketing and service strategies to include a strong emphasis on community involvement. The work place is a good starting point as they also dictate the working conditions which impact positively or negatively on family life.

I think that we need more and more of these types of places that can care for themselves especially in the poorer communities, this way people will be able to look out for themselves as well as provide food for their families. This is the only way to go.
