wow, thanks for the heads up on sweet potatoes. You would think that the EPA would be more focused on this issue.

Buying organic will stop the possibility of any pesticide residues! Everything on our Thanksgiving menu this year was organically grown! And we had a natural turkey!

Anything not organic scares me to much to even think about feeding it to my children.

Theresea, you are absolutely correct and I should not have just mentioned fruits and veggies. I was focused on PAN's new phone app. Thanks for writing in to balance the article. Couldn't agree with your more. Let's not forget milk as well that is in the mashed potatoes too!

By the way, do you have a favorite tofuturkery recipe or favorite vegetarian recipe that you can link to the site? Anna

Hello! I've just found your website.

I like what I've seen so far, but I can't help noticing that your Thanksgiving blog brings up concerns about sweet potatoes and cranberries.... But it doesn't say a word about all the hormones and antibiotics in the turkey that most people eat this time of year.

A blog appearing on a website about "green living" should not single out non-animal foods for scrutiny but ignore animal foods.

It is true that pesticides are a massive problem.... But it is also true that antibiotics and hormones are a massive problem. Along these lines, it is also true that the botulism and salmonella that sometimes turn up in our fruits and vegetables would be far less of a concern if it weren't for the intensive "farming" of animals for food.
