Becopotty Seat. Biodegradable Bum Seat.

April 5, 2010 By: Anna1 Comment

Beecopotty seat

I normally don’t talk about infant or toddler products, but I love this Becopotty. Potty training is a huge deal.  It signify the kiss off to diapers.  Well, mostly. I had one of those plastic potty seats in my house when the Boys were potty training.  It was just another piece of toddler equipment that I had to ask someone to take.  (Remember, the oven is closed.)

Why do I love this potty seat.  It is biodegradable and is  made out of  rice hulk, bamboo, and resin which holds all together.  (See here about the materials.)  In fact, it is the resin that causes the potty to biodegrade when you put in the compost at the end of its life.  According to the Company, it takes two to three years to biodegrade depending on the conditions. Not only is this potty seat good for the environment, it aid in potty training since it is ergonomically designed, comfortable, and easy to use. Notice the high back?  It offers extra support while the large splash guard keeps potty training hygienic.  When you are potty training your child, you need all the help you can get.  Remember, I have boys so don’t I need to tell you how long it took for them to feel comfortable about letting go of you know what.

Love this concept as much as I do?  Priced at $12.99 on Amazon.  Don’t forget to check out Becothings’ pet bowls and hangers. See here where to purchase.

Oh, don’t forget save the urine for your trees.  I can see it now.  You all have your “ewww” face on.  Read my urine make a plant good article, then let me if you changed your mind. (Heck, hit the tweet button at the top of the article since it is Spring!)

I love this! We have a hand-me-down potty and, well, there’s just something a little icky about a training potty that’s been used by several children. Biodegradable is an awesome idea. Thanks for posting about it!
