Does this sound familiar? Debbie has ballet at 4 pm, but Matthew has to be at soccer at the same time. Perhaps Debbie has to be picked up at the same time as Matthew but their two activities are least a half hour away from each other? Well, welcome to my world.
Divide the Ride was created to make mine and millions of other parents’ lives easier through its free web-based carpool calendar program. Bryn Tindall, CEO of the Company, created this handy tool to help others like himself who were struggling with their own children’s schedules.
So, how does it work? Sign up onto the secure site, and log in all your children activities. Then invite parents to join the carpools. Each parent can then log in and put in their driving availability. The program then creates a car pooling schedule and is emailed to everyone. In addition, the program sends out text messages and email reminders to the whole group. If there is a change to the schedule, a notification is sent to the whole group. It is like having a personal assistant.
Check out the video for more information.
The added benefit to Divide the Ride is shrinking our own carbon footprint. Instead of 5 cars going to the same activity, now only one car will be on the road. Saving the green by being green really does work in this situation. Less time on the road, means less time filling up that empty gas tank.
Give Divide a Ride a whirl to get your life back!
