Tried of the same festive decoration? Looking for something with a little pizazz that will brighten up your table or your garden? Tayo Designs’ Havaleena Light Bouquet, single Havaleena, or Havaleena Torch may be the sparkle you are looking for. The collection is created by the brother and sister team of Teo and Monica Bendt.

So, why is this artist light named Havaleena? The name “is an onomatopoeic translation of the Spanish word “Jabalina” or javelin. Like a javelin topped with a cylinder of light, the Havaleena’s sleek lines make it unique,” according to the Company. As unique is its name is as versatile as its use since the light is mobile and can be arranged anywhere to create the ambiance that you seek.

What are the unique attributes of each one of the Havaleena Collection?

The Havaleena Light Bouquet is made up of three Eco-friendly LED battery-operated “flowers,” and provides 20 hours of illumination on a single set of batteries. (The Company recommends using rechargeable batteries for their lights.)

Each light source is 1 watt and is rated for 50,000 hours of use with a daylight color temperature. In addition, each light comes with a set of four different colored vellum filters (white, orange, green, and violet) that can easily be interchanged to match the mood or holiday.

Pictured to the right is the Holiday Bouquet 2007 Edition, which comes with additional two frosted and one red vellum filters as well as a set of special imprinted filters with the saying, “Good Tidings of Comfort and Joy.”

Check out the gallery on the Company’s website to see different pictures of the bouquet.

The bundle is priced at $149.00. The vase is sold separately in glass or metal.

Perhaps you just want to make a singular statement in different parts of your home or garden. Consider purchasing the single LED Havalenna with the stand for your mantel or just the right light for that romantic dinner.

Want the perfect gift for a loved one? Consider giving the gift with a special message engraved on the vellum such as “you are the light of my life.” You can easily customize your own message. According to Monica, anyone can download a template from the Company’s site after first filling out a quick registration form. The Company will send you a template that can be used as a guideline. Type your message on your computer, print it, cut to size and Viola! Pretty simple to make a truly unique personalized gift.

Havaleena--BE MINE

Valentine’s Day is just around the corner. The picture illustrates how you can create a special Valentine’s Day message for your sweetie. Flowers die eventually, but a Havaleena Light will be a constant reminder of the love you share.

Each single Havalenna is priced at $59 without the wood stand, and $79 with the stand.

How cool is that! I think it’s neat that you can switch out the colors.
