GMOs: What You Need to Know Conference Dispels Myths

Over the last couple of years, the GMO labeling battle has been fought in several arenas such as California. Hawaii, and Washington.  Extraordinary amounts of money have been spent fighting this battle.   Many people are now confused as to whether GMOs are simply harmless or a danger to our food supply and our health.  The GMOs: What you Need to Know virtual conference  with Stacy Malkan dispels all the GMO myths you have heard and arms you with the knowledge to take back your food supply.

Stacy Malkan, the author of It’s Not a Pretty Face, peels back yet another industry to find the truth about whether or not we should be worried about the safety of GMOs.   She is the co-founder of the Campaign for Safer Cosmetics and was the media coordinator for California Proposition 37 that required all food sold in California to be labeled.

I have tremendous respect for Stacy.  She changed my world with her book, Not a Pretty Face, in which she exposed the dangers of the unregulated cosmetic industry.

In this conference, she uses the same tenacity to expose the dangers of  GMOs  to our health and our soil.

I know the conference already started but I wanted to make sure I could vouch for its value before recommending it to you.  Therefore, I waited to write about the conference until I listened to two of the speakers.  Granted, I view myself as quite knowledgeable about why GMOs and Round-up are dangerous; however,  Michael Hansen of the Consumer Union and Thierry Vrain, PhD, Canada’s former chief GMO promoter turned anti-GMO  armed me with more valuable information as to why GMOs are so dangerous.

It’s isn’t pretty.

Why Do I Want You to Listen?

I am a food grower and activist. But you know that.  So, I take the dangers of GMOs personally because it is harming the people  I love and the soil that nourishes my plants.

After listening to Michael Hansen and Dr.  Thierry Vrain,  my resolve is to convince everyone that GMOs are not safe.  But don’t listen to just me.  Listen to the experts on this panel.
