I know I have been a bad green girl these days. A post here and a post there. Where are the green building ones? Or green decor? What’s up with Anna these days? I have been busy with lot of new ventures and ideas. Many of you know that I past the LEED AP exam and I have been actively looking for someone who I can intern with to learn the ropes. So, if you need a bright, hardworking, detail oriented person to work on your LEED team, I know someone who is looking. I can connect you with her. Just say the word. Done.
Secondly, I updated to WordPress 2.7.1 and my old blog skin broke. It was a much needed kick in the pants to change my blog. I am still working on updating the theme so bear with me. My header still looks blah and none of my affiliate advertising is up yet. I keep promising myself to put time aside to create my header, but my class on Adobe Photoshop was a complete waste since I still can’t figure out the program. Anyone want to help me create my header? Free advertising for three months!
Third, I have taught myself to podcast and edit. I hope you all enjoyed my first podcast, which was an interview with the Technical Polymer Research Leader at Ford Motor Company. It is only 20 minutes and transcribed. Deborah, my interviewee, was wonderful and very educational. Go listen.
Combining my love of people with my insatiably ability to ask questions, my future podcasts can only get better and better. Editing takes a lot of time, but I am really enjoying it. Let me know if you think it is worth it to transcribe my podcast. My next podcast is being transcribed as I write. It is an interview with a partner in a battery operated LED company. Quite eye opening about LEDs.
Fourthly, I produced a green mom video so you can meet all of us moms and mothers of the Earth. Originally, the video was for the Shorty Awards in which the Green Moms of the Green Moms Carnival won for best short green content on Twitter. I created it because only three out of the group were able to come to the awards. I wanted to make sure that the rest of the group was acknowledged as being part of the best green content. To make a long story short, they decided my five minute video was too long. I worked so hard on it and was quite disappointed, but it will help to further our mission to heal our beloved Earth.
Believe me, when you see the video not only will you be impressed with this highly intelligent, passionate group of women you’ll see that the video producer is no shlump either. Each one of the women is just as outstanding as the next one. Podcasting, writing, and video producing. Yes, I am a Jill of all trades. (You got to do what you got to do…)
Fifthly, the Green Talk Ning(forum) is progressing nicely but not talkative enough for my taste. Some of my friends have told me that I can talk to a wall and it will talk back. So the lack of conversation over at the Ning is killing me. It is supposed to be a social community. It has 49 members. (Update: I closed the Ning since it was too quiet.)
Previous blog posts? Natural Home posted that the magazine was taking submissions from innovative eco-developments in the United States and Canada for their May/June issues and Planning with Excellence sponsored a green wedding giveaway. Both deadlines have passed. See what you all have missed at the Forum?
I was wondering if the Ning was a good idea compared to a outright forum. Which one do you like better? Ning or Forum? Pleases head over to the Ning and see what you think.
Sixthly, I have decided to accept guest posts to Green Talk. So, if you are a writer and have an article that you would like me to publish, contact me. I am interested in articles about health, green building, organic gardening, green living, feng shui, recycling, or organic food. I will only accept articles from other bloggers or freelancers instead of company’s marketing departments.
Well, Spring is getting closer. So, I am doing a little Spring cleaning here on the website.
